A leading regional retail chain with 60+ outlets across multiple formats was operating on disconnected systems. With over 1,200 SKUs, inconsistent inventory records, and fragmented reporting, the client needed an ERP backbone built for scale, compliance, and omnichannel operations.
HUB-AI, in collaboration with SAP solution partners, led the end-to-end implementation of RISE with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, integrating SAP CAR for POS visibility, procurement automation, and real-time decision-making.
The Challenge
Legacy systems caused inconsistent reconciliation, no real-time inventory visibility, and disconnected POS systems creating compliance gaps.
The client faced serious operational challenges despite market growth:

They sought a unified, scalable ERP platform with local compliance support, optimized for retail.
Delivery Model
We designed and implemented an industry-grade solution using SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud (RISE) for core ERP processes, SAP CAR for POS data processing, omnichannel inventory, and customer insights, custom RICEFW objects and workflow automation across finance, procurement, and store operations, and 50+ Fiori apps to empower end users with simplified interfaces.
Functional modules implemented included Finance & Controlling (FICO) with ledger management, AR/AP, asset management, and tax compliance; Sourcing & Procurement (MM) with purchase orders, vendor contracts, and goods receipts; Sales & Distribution (SD) with order management, store transfers, and pricing; Retail Ops with assortment planning, store inventory, promotions, and auto-replenishment; and SAP CAR with POSDTA, real-time inventory sync, sales audit, and UDF/DDF integration.
Phase 1 — Business Blueprinting
Mapped AS-IS/TO-BE processes across 12 business units. Finalized organization structure, tax logic, and approval workflows.
Phase 2 — System Configuration & Integration
Set up chart of accounts, retail master data, and vendor hierarchies. Built 100+ custom RICEFW objects. Integrated 3 POS systems with SAP CAR (UDF, POSDTA schema).
Phase 3 — Training, UAT & Go-Live
Delivered train-the-trainer sessions for 45+ staff. Parallel runs validated across 8 pilot stores. Phased go-live by region with real-time SAP CAR dashboards.
Phase 4 — Hypercare & Support
Delivered 30 days of post-go-live support. Captured enhancement requests for Fiori personalization. Migrated to AMC with shared ticket resolution dashboard.
